1. What’s your favorite destination?
My favorite destination is the very south end of Sweden, Skåne, where we have our white little country house, close to the wonderful white beach of Falsterbo. Also, I grew up on the west coast of Sweden, on the island of Marstrand, and my parents still spend their summers there. It’s my childhood’s summer paradise and I still think it’s the most beautiful place on earth.
2. How would you describe your vacation / beach style?
I love to pack light for the summer, everything must go together and be easy to wash, and easy to wear. I wear a lot of basics in neutral colors: Classic white and blue shirts, I love the ones from Gant, Acne Studios and 3.1 Phillip Lim. Also, I live in my shorts from J Crew and my stripey dress from the Norwegian brand FWSS. Stripes are essential for me during summer, as well as some great knit sweaters – in grey, navy and white. During the summer, I really live by the @sakerstil concept, that I work with together with my partner Emilia de Poret.
3. What 3 items would you be lost without when you travel?
My noise-cancelling Bose Headphones, I’ll cry if I leave without them – and a great scarf, that can be a blanket as well as a pillow. And a soft cashmere sweater, that I’ll travel in.
4. Your best advice for keeping your baby happy when you travel?
Bring lots of entertainment – new games for the Ipad, new books and surprises, sometimes I’ll even wrap mini presents for a really long flight! And snacks, lots of them. It works!
5. What’s in your beach-bag, for yourself?
Vichy Sun Care products with the highest SPF I can find – and sunglasses, of course. I love my Nividas!
6. …And for the kids?
Sun hats, for sun protection – but also, because they are so cute! I think my daughter has about five or six in different Liberty prints, I can’t resist them.
7. All time favorite resort?
Since I like to stay in the same time zone with the kids, and also prefer a shorter flight, I love Greece, Mallorca and Tenerife, but I’m still looking for the perfect family friendly resort – if anyone has found it, please, please, please let me know!
8. What’s always in your hand luggage when you travel?
At least three (!) books for myself that I always buy on the airport, even though I never even open them because I end up reading to the kids instead… But I’m an optimist, one day I will read them.
